Join us for a wine & cheese reception with the BAP cycling team as they near the end of their coast to coast cycling trip. Stop by Cherry Alley to see the recent alumni and learn about their adventures on the cycling trip to benefit Bicycles Against Poverty.
During the reception we'll be paying tribute to those faculty and staff who have been especially wonderful to the organization and its team members.
About the Trip: Ugandan Muyambi Muyambi is cycling across the United States in order to fundraise for Bicycles Against Poverty, the African microfinance bicycle organization he founded at Bucknell University.
About BAP: Bicycles Against Poverty (BAP) works with communities in East Africa to provide them access to affordable bicycles, which are used to access markets and basic social services, such as healthcare, clean water, and education. To date, BAP has distributed over 485 bicycles and impacts over 2,000 individuals weekly.
Growing up in Uganda, Muyambi saw just how life-changing a bicycle was for those in need of healthcare and other basic services. He founded BAP in order to provide affordable access to transportation.
